Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 526 Cities Exceeds 238,500
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Saturday, March 27, 2021, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 526 cities had exceeded 238,500. The number of victims in Tehran has reached 55,331, Isfahan 15,500, Khorasan Razavi 15,490, Khuzestan 13,809, Mazandaran 10,170, Lorestan 10,058, East Azerbaijan 9,378, Alborz 5,918, Sistan and Baluchestan 5,541, Semnan 4,075, and Ilam 2,441.

Iran: Large protests are becoming more frequent
In less than 24 hours protests were reported in cities and towns located in northern and southern areas of north and south ran on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On March 24, people in the city of Gonbad Kavus in northeast Iran took to the streets protesting the raping and sexual harassment of two small girls by a security guard at the Golestan Dam. Public anger escalated further after the regime’s judiciary chief Ebrahim Raisi attempted to cover up the security guard’s crime. The regime’s public prosecutor in Gonbad Kavus claimed “the forensics report has denied any sign of rape” and said the accused security guard has been summoned and after questioning has been charged with “kidnapping.”

A brief update on the conditions of Maryam Akbari Monfared
Political prisoner Maryam Akbari Monfared is presently detained in the general ward of the Prison of Semnan.
After a day of interrogations, she was sent among ordinary prisoners in the general ward of the Prison of Semnan, where she does not have access to her personal belongings. Her detention in the general ward is in violation of the principle of separation of crimes.
