The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMO/MEK) announced on Saturday, February 6, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 480 cities had exceeded 212,000. The number of victims in Tehran is 51,041, Khorasan Razavi 14,260, Isfahan 13,525, Khuzestan 10,550, Mazandaran 8,797, Lorestan 8,628, West Azerbaijan 7,813, Gilan 7,556, Golestan 5,489, Yazd 3,892, Qazvin 2,339, Zanjan 2,285, Hormozgan 2,240, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari 1,700, and Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad 1,574.

The public’s outrage over the regime’s delay in providing COVID-19 vaccine is on the rise as the death toll continues to rise. Yet, today, Rouhani brazenly dismissed any expectation regarding a timely vaccination, saying the vaccination “has its own problems. We in Iran have a population of 80 to 84 million and they need to be vaccinated requiring a considerable number of vaccines, so we are starting to work on a priority basis. It can take seven, eight, or   10 months. If accelerated it may still take five to six months … so we have to prepare ourselves for another year.”
