Iran: Coronavirus Death Toll in 478 Cities Exceeds 196,000

  • The Spokesperson for the regime’s Health Ministry: In the second week of January, the highest death rate was in Mazandaran, Gilan, Ardabil, Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad provinces. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Saturday, January 2, 2021, that the Coronavirus death toll in 478 cities across Iran had exceeded 196,000. The number of victims in Tehran is 48,091, Khorasan Razavi 13,305, Isfahan 12,095, Khuzestan 9,915, Lorestan 7,898, Mazandaran 7,477, West Azerbaijan 7,293, Gilan 6,951, Fars 5,998, Sistan and Baluchestan 4,761, Kerman 4,313, Kurdistan 3,356, Semnan 2,954, Ardabil 2,407, Ilam 2,020, and Bushehr 1,979.
