Heinous hanging of two brothers in Iran

Heinous hanging of two brothers in IranNCRI – The following is a statement by the Secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran issued on September 29, 2006:

This morning, henchmen of the mullahs’ regime publicly hanged two brothers identified as Reza and Saeid in the western city of Khorramabad. They were charged with "engaging in armed clashes with agents of Iran’s State Security Forces (SSF) and spreading fear and anxiety in public."

Last year, in protest to their brother’s hanging; Reza and Saeid clashed with SSF agents. The mullahs’ judiciary hanged all three members of the family in a period of one year.

Fearing a public reaction, the SSF took special measures to combat the possible situation in the area and dispatched scores of its units there.

The Iranian Resistance calls on all international human rights organizations to condemn the increasing number of executions and appalling violations of human rights in Iran.
