Tired of combatting COVID-19 without pay and support, Iranian nurses are leaving the country

An increased number of Iranian nurses are leaving the country due to lack of job security, delayed or unpaid wages and the COVID-19 overload.

In comments carried by the state-run Ana news agency, the Head of the Tehran Board of the Iranian Nursing Organization said more than one thousand nurses and health care workers had requested to go abroad just in the past few months.

The number of victims in Tehran is 29,201, Khorasan Razavi 9,200, Khuzestan 7,838, Isfahan 6,399, Lorestan 5,328, Qom 5,225, East Azerbaijan 4,323, West Azerbaijan 3,372, Alborz 3,348, Hamedan 3,228, Kermanshah 2,668, Kerman 1,875, Bushehr 1,470, Ardabil 1,426, and Ilam 1,009.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Wednesday, October 14, 2020, marks the 333rd day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
