Groups Urge UN to Investigate Iran’s 1988 Massacre
Twenty-one human rights groups have issued an appeal to the United Nations to launch an investigation into the 1988 massacre of political prisoners in Iran.
The 1988 massacre, which led to the execution of more than 30,000 political prisoners, primarily members of the opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK), has never been investigated, and the perpetrators have never been brought to account.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, September 20, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 440 cities had exceeded 106,200. The number of victims in Tehran is 25,535, Khorasan Razavi 7,758, Isfahan 4,994, Qom 4,780, Lorestan 4,728, East Azerbaijan 3,168, Alborz 2,986, West Azerbaijan 2,816, Kurdistan 2,051, Kerman 1,680, Semnan 1,396, Zanjan 1,011, and Ilam 889.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Monday, September 21, 2020, marks the 310th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
