The Iranian Resistance Units, a network of activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) across Iran, have been organizing various activities that are louder calls for regime change. The Resistance Units bravely took to graffiti in public places with the slogans: “Down with Khamenei, hail to freedom,” “We can and we must free Iran”
“Democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi,” “Maryam Rajavi is a symbol of bravery and inspiration for Iranian women,” “Maryam, we are waiting for you, democracy and freedom with Maryam Rajavi.”

NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF July 11, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI-MEK) announced this afternoon, July 11, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 69,300 in 342 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 5215 in Khorasan Razavi, 5210 in Khuzestan, 3240 in Gilan, 3065 in Mazandaran, 3300 in Isfahan, 2110 in Alborz, 2065 in East Azerbaijan, 1770 in Kermanshah, 1735 in Golestan, 1710 in Hamedan, 1585 in Fars. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

In all likelihood, there have actually been more such days, starting much earlier in the country’s outbreak, that the Health Ministry has publicly acknowledged. Virtually every aspect of that public reporting has been inaccurate since the very start of the pandemic, as the regime sought to downplay its own mismanagement of the crisis while also justifying a premature and hastily implemented reopening.

Iran Hangs Father of Two For Consumption of Alcohol

A prisoner was executed Wednesday for “drinking alcohol” in Mashhad Central Prison.
Hossein Habibi Shahri, the prisoner’s lawyer, reported that his client, the father of two, had been sentenced to death for “drinking alcohol for the sixth time,” and that his sentence was carried out on July 9, 2020 in Mashhad Central Prison.
“My client was arrested in 2018 or 2017,” Mr. Habibi said. He was convicted of drinking alcohol for the sixth time. Of course, there was also the issue of driving without a license and keeping alcohol. “

  • At least 250 Coronavirus patients have died in Sina, Be’ sat, Beheshti and Hamedan’s Social Security hospitals from June 21 to July 9
  • At least 170 people have died of Coronavirus at Ganjavian Hospital in Dezful since June 21. Dezful’s statistics are not included in Khuzestan and reported directly to Tehran
  • Alborz Province is facing a serious problem due to the lack of beds and ICUs. Lack of workforce and staff fatigue, like all provinces, is a serious problem
  • There is an emergency in East Azerbaijan, 180 people are hospitalized daily. August will be the worst month
  • Deputy Head of the National Coronavirus Combat Task Force (NCCT) in Qazvin: Out of a total of 731 billion Tomans of the Province’s share (to deal with Coronavirus), only 430 million Tomans (about 19,000dollars) have been paid so far.

Horrible conditions in Iran’s prisons

The Greater Tehran Central Penitentiary in south of Tehran

A recent report by Iran’s state-run Etemad online reveals a small corner of the disastrous situation inside Tehran big prison, Fashafouyeh.

Also know as the Greater Tehran Central Penitentiary, the facility has about 13,950 inmates on charges of corruption, rejection of property, theft, alcoholic drinks, fraud, smuggling, forging, transfer of other people’s property and acquisition of illegal property.

The prison has five sections, which the prisoners call “brigades.” In this prison, no one gets any advice, nor they will repent, but a prisoner said: “The people come into this prison as lizards and leave as alligators.”

Narges Mohammadi among inmates suspected of Covid-19 in Zanjan jail

Human rights activist Narges Mohammadi and six other women in the Prison of Zanjan have developed dangerous symptoms of the Covid-19 disease while being denied access to tests and treatment.

Narges Mohammadi’s condition has raised concerns. Ms. Mohammadi and six other prisoners have developed numbness, weakness, bone pain and have totally lost their sense of smell for more than a week.

Human rights activist Narges Mohammadi was sent to exile in the Prison of Zanjan among common prisoners for holding a protest sit-in along with seven other political prisoners in the women’s ward of Evin Prison in solidarity with families of the victims killed in the November 2019 uprising.

Farangis Mazloumi mother of a political prisoner who was personally detained for some time last year, was sentenced to six years in prison on the charge of having contacts with the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and of disseminating propaganda against the state in favor of opposition groups.

Farangis Mazloumi is the mother of political prisoner Soheil Arabi, who is presently detained in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Saturday, July 11, 2020, marks the 238th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
