NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF July 6, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, July 6, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 66,400 in 342 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 5075 in Khuzestan, 4690 in Khorasan Razavi,  3255 in Isfahan, 2065 in Alborz, 1945 in East Azerbaijan, 1880 in West Azerbaijan, 1690 in Kermanshah, 1485 in Hamedan, 716 in Ardabil, 675 in Markazi (Central), 670 in Bushehr, 470 in Ilam. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

Iran, Khuzestan—Haft-Tappeh strike–day 22

Haft-Tappeh Sugarcane workers continued their strike for the 22nd consecutive day. “We are workers & want out rights, but whenever we raise our voice they name us ‘thugs.’ We pursue our rights in all ways and preserve Haft-Tappeh” a worker said.

  • Iraj Harirchi, Deputy Health Minister: In some provinces, more than 50 percent of people have Coronavirus. A figure of 18 million infected in the country is not strange. The death toll will likely rise to 200 per day. Coronavirus in Tehran and Alborz provinces could rise exponentially and explosively 
  • Birjand University of Medical Sciences: Six of the 11 cities in South Khorasan Province are in a perilous situation (red) 
  • According to doctors, in the last three days of the week, there were 18,300 new Coronavirus cases and 810 deaths in Khorasan Razavi and North Khorasan provinces. 
  • Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences: Hormozgan is at its peak of the outbreak. There is an increased risk of infection in rural areas

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on July 5, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 342 cities in Iran is more than 65,900. The number of victims in Khuzestan is 5,040, Khorasan Razavi 4,570, Mazandaran 2,960, Golestan 1,645, North Khorasan 850, Kerman 830, Hormozgan 685, Zanjan 610, and Qazvin 565.

Workers of the Haft Tappeh Sugarcane Company are continuing their strike and protests for three weeks now, gathering again on Sunday for the 21st consecutive day and demanding delayed paychecks and answers to other issues raised with company officials.

June Iran protests report: Over 219 protests in 74 cities

According to collected reports by sources affiliated with the Iranian Resistance in the month of June, Iranians held 219 recorded protests in 74 cities and 24 provinces, with an average of seven to eight protests a day. Most of June’s Iran protests were carried out by workers and employees demanding their unpaid wages and other violated rights.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?

Monday, July 6, 2020, marks the 233rd day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.

Number of martyrs: At least 1500

Number of injured: More than 4,000

Number of detainees: More than 12,000
