Iran: Coronavirus Update, Over 60,000 Deaths, June 22, 2020, 6:00 PM

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, June 22, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 60,000 in 334 cities across Iran. Over 16000 in Tehran, 3390 in Khorasan Razavi, 2060 in Lorestan, 1570 in West Azerbaijan, 1440 in Golestan, 735 in Kerman, 370 in Ilam. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

“No one can confront Iran’s rebellious youth and an arisen nation” : MEK Resistance Units
The Iranian Resistance Units, a network of the activists of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) across Iran, have been organizing various activities that are louder calls for regime change. They celebrated the anniversary of June 20, 1981 when the MEK tested the democratic environment a final time by launching a demonstration to remind the Khomeini regime of its responsibilities to respect the fundamental freedoms of the Iranian people. In Tehran, more than 500,000 people attended the demonstration, which hadn’t been publicly declared in advance. In response, Khomeini ordered the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), his personal army, to open fire on the unarmed and peaceful protesters.
In recent days, the Resistance Units bravely took to graffiti in public places with the slogans: “From June 20, 1981 until today, our resistance and persistence was to free our country and people,” “June 20, 1981, a historic turning point in the struggle for freedom,” “June 20, 1981 is the beginning of Iranian people’s nationwide resistance,” “We salute the martyrs fallen for freedom,” and “Down with the principle of the Supreme Leader’s rule.”
They wrote:

New Revelation on Iran Regime’s Attack on Aramco Oil Refinery
Days after the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, in a report to the UN Security Council, confirmed that missiles used to attack Saudi Arabia last year were “of Iranian origin,” new information obtained by the Iranian Resistance sheds light on a new aspect of this attack.
The National Council of Resistance of Iran United States Representative Office (NCRI – U.S.), in its revelation last September about the Iranian regime’s attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil refinery, revealed that commanders of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) navy from the city of Mahshahr, southwestern Iran, had gone to the Omidieh airbase (missile attack command operations command).

Australian Senator Urges UN to Secure Release of Arrested Elite Iranian Students
Australian Liberal Senator Eric Abetz wrote a letter to Javaid Rehman, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights in Iran, urging him to take necessary action and increase pressure on the Iranian regime to release two elite students, Ali Younesi and Amir Hossain Moradi, along with other youth and political prisoners.

IRGC Appoints Hossain Nejat as Commander of Sarrallah Base: Sign of Regime’s Utter Fear of Iran Protests

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Sunday, June 21, 2020, that the Coronavirus death toll in 334 cities had exceeded 54,600. The death toll in Khuzestan is 4,490, Qom 3,765, Isfahan 3,095, Gilan 2,950, Lorestan 2,030, Golestan 2,016, Sistan and Baluchestan 1,995, Alborz 1,890, West Azerbaijan 1,545, Kurdistan 1,175.

NCRI’s June 20 Conference: 39 Years of Resistance for a Free Iran
The Iranian Resistance’s supporters and renowned western politicians from 2,000 locations across the globe joined a virtual conference held by the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) on June 20, marking the beginning of the 40th year of resistance against the mullahs’ regime.
Participants, on the Day of Martyrs and Political Prisoners, paid tribute to over 120,000 martyrs fallen for freedom, mostly members and supporters of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), and political prisoners who have been persevering on the cause of democracy in the regime’s dungeons. The Participants emphasized their support for the Iranian Resistance and the Iranian people’s struggle for regime change in Iran, as well as the establishment of democracy and a republic based on universal suffrage.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Monday, June 22, 2020, marks the 220th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
