  • The number of Coronavirus patients in Kurdistan is increasing sharply. Be’sat, and Kowsar hospitals in Sanandaj will admit patients as a backup to Tawhid Hospital

The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) announced on Friday, June 12, 2020, that the Coronavirus fatalities in 330 cities across Iran have risen to 51,200. The death toll in Khuzestan is 4,155, Isfahan 2,635, Sistan and Baluchestan 1,895, Hamedan 1,325, Kermanshah 1,255, Yazd 730, Kerman 610, North Khorasan 575, Bushehr 470, and Hormozgan. 355.

Nasrollah Fathian, regime’s Health Minister adviser and head of the Coronavirus Combat Command Center, told the Quds force affiliated news agency, Tasnim, today, “The provinces of Khorasan Razavi, Bushehr, Hormozgan, Khuzestan, and Lorestan are in a red situation, and we have the most critical situation in Khuzestan.”

According to the state TV, on June 12,  2020, in Kermanshah, “For the first time since the Coronavirus outbreak, the number of patients crossed the 300 threshold in 24 hours, and according to the head of the public relations committee of the University of Medical Sciences, the number of definitive cases in the Province reached 314 last night.”

In Kurdistan, according to Tasnim news agency, today, “Following the increase in the number of people infected with the Coronavirus and the continuation of the red state, the Towhid Hospital in Sanandaj was completely allocated to Coronavirus patients. The number of Coronavirus patients is increasing sharply. The president of Kurdistan University of Medical Sciences said: ‘According to the review of the infection charts … Be’sat, and Kowsar hospitals in Sanandaj are also considered as the second and third backup of Towhid Hospital.'”

In East Azerbaijan, the vice-president of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences told Asr-e Iran daily today, “The prevalence of Coronavirus has increased in the past few days in the Province, and we are of the provinces on the verge of warning.” According to the latest assessment of the Health Ministry reported by the IRGC affiliated website, Javan, today, “Nine out of 21 cities in East Azarbaijan Province are in the red state.”

Meanwhile, Mahmoud Alavi, regime’s Minister of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), while demonstrating his fear of the popular uprisings tried to calm down the mercenaries of the MOIS and the Revolutionary Guards, by saying, “At the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak, we were concerned that economic and social issues and their complications would cause security challenges. We believe that it has not,” reported the official news agency, Mehr, today.
