NCRI – A group of political prisoners in Gohardasht prison have announced in a message their support for the 21st fund raising campaign by Simay Azadi (Iran National Television, INTV) affiliated to Iranian Resistance.
The message reads in part:
Dear compatriots, noble and heroic people of Iran, supporters of the Resistance,
We were informed about another fund raising and national cooperation to support Simay Azadi, this only real voice of the oppressed and deprived people of Iran. We do not think that even one Iranian has the slightest doubt, during the life of Simay Azadi, about crucial role of this national and popular media in reflecting the voice of our freedom-loving compatriots.
This media, with minimum facilities, strong, stable, and immediately has broadcast real news without interruption and has brought the righteous and justice seeking voice of the various segments of Iranian society, including workers, teachers, nurses, students, homeless, grave sleepers, those who sell their body parts to earn some money to survive (for a living), the doubly oppressed ethnic and religious minorities, and also our voice, the voice of political prisoners in the notorious dungeons of the regime, to the attention of Iranian people and the world.
We, political prisoners, are deprived of watching Simay Azadi and our only source of information is the state-run worthless newspapers and regime’s sinister TV. However, in between the TV programs broadcast by the regime, we discovered an important point that is the wrathful reaction of the regime’s various propaganda system and organs toward Simay Azadi which clearly and doubly confirms the importance and impact of Simay Azadi.
For this reason, we urge our honorable people to support Simay Azadi in any form and to any extent they can. In this regard, we prisoners dedicate one month of our food ration which amounts to 500 thousand Tomans towards this cause to have a small share in assisting Simay Azadi in their fund raising.
