Iran: Coronavirus Update, Over 39,800 Deaths, May 7, 2020, 6:00 PM
NUMBER OF VICTIMS (AS OF MAY 7, 2020, 6:00 PM CEST):
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) announced this afternoon, May 7, 2020, that Coronavirus has taken the lives of more than 39,800 in 314 cities across Iran. The death toll in various provinces include: 6650 in Tehran, 3290 in Qom, 2690 in Gilan, 1215 in West Azerbaijan, 1091 in Sistan and Baluchestan, 1005 in Lorestan, 985 in Hamed, 433 in North Khorasan, 135 in South Khorasan. This is in addition to cases registered in other provinces.

The number of victims in Tehran is 6560, Khuzestan 2015, Lorestan 990, Fars 1005, Kurdistan 640, Qazvin 445, Bushehr 435, and Hormozgan 163.

Iranian Resistance publishes names of 20, including six women, under torture
The Iranian Resistance issued a statement on May 5, 2020, publishing the names and pictures of 20 Iranians including six women and two elite students from Sharif Industrial University who have been arrested in Tehran and other cities. The secretariat of the National Council of Resistance of Iran said these are among the many who have been arrested in recent months.
The six arrested women are: Nahid Fat’halian, Parastoo Mo’ini, Zahra Safaei, Forough Taghipour, Marzieh Farsi from Tehran and Somayeh Bidi from Karaj.

WHAT ARE THE IRAN PROTESTS OF 2019?
Thursday, May 7, 2020, marks the 175th day since the beginning of the nationwide Iran protests.
The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) has identified 755 of the more than 1500 protesters killed by the regime so far.
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) has called on the United Nations to urgently send an international fact-finding mission to Iranian prisons to meet with the detainees.
