After visiting Tehran, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Friday that no breakthrough was reached between the UN nuclear watchdog and Iran on unresolved questions around the Iranian regime nuclear program.

Yukiya Amano, IAEA’s director general, met in Tehran with Hassan Rouhani, the preisdent of the clerical regime, Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the regime’s Supreme National Security Council..

Amano said in a statement: “The purpose of the visit was to advance work towards the resolution of all outstanding issues regarding Iran’s nuclear program, including clarification of possible military dimensions,”

“I believe that both sides have a better understanding on some ways forward, though more work will be needed.”

The IAEA will play a crucial role in monitoring and verifying any final deal.

The Iranian regime has been stalling the agency’s investigation into what it calls ‘possible military dimensions’ of Tehran’s past nuclear work.
