The Sun – IRAN-backed terrorists are plotting horrific attacks on the UK and British subjects around the world, Tony Blair was told last night.
Intelligence chiefs specifically warned the Prime Minister of the threat ââ¬â if the stand-off with Iran over its nuclear programme escalates.
The Commons security and intelligence committee’s warning comes in a report released just a week before the anniversary of the 7/7 bombing.
The report says: “There is a possibility of an increased threat to UK interests from Iranian state-sponsored terrorism should the diplomatic situation deteriorate.”
The threat from international terror groups was “serious” it added.
