Iran Nuclear: Firmness is a necessity in facing the mullahs’ tactics to buy time

Firmness is a necessity in facing the mullahs' tactics to buy timeThe Foreign Minister of the mullahs’ regime Manouchehr Mottaki rejected the G8 ministerial statement regarding a “clear and solid’ answer before July 5 to the package of incentives the regime was offered, and said, “As President Ahmadinejad had stated, the date set for Iran’s answer to Europe’s offer will be in August,”, according to news wires on June 29.

Separately, in an interview with the German magazine Etern, Mottaki said, “It took our European partners months to put together the package. In Iran there are also different views, concerns, and qualms; we need time to react to the package.”

The statement by the regime’s Foreign Minister on Thursday, once again shows that incentives and concessions would only embolden the mullahs’ regime in working to obtain the atomic bomb. Conflicting statements by the clerical dictatorship’s leaders at different levels in response to the P5+1 package of incentives are tactics meant to buy time for the regime to obtain nuclear weapon and underscore the need for firm and expeditious measures in imposing comprehensive sanctions against the Iranian regime.
