Mrs Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) attended the ceremony held in honor of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Strasbourg, 26 January 2015, at the Council of Europe. The ceremony was chaired by the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Thorbjørn Jagland.
Maryam Rajavi, then laid a wreath to honor the victims of the death camps.
On the same day, Mrs. Rajavi attended several conferences of the various parliamentary groups of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe to explain about her fight against religious fundamentalism and warn against any alliance with the theocracy of the mullahs, main sponsor of Islamic extremism.
