NCRI – The Iranian regime’s State Security Forces (police) lashed a young man 45 times in public on the back of a pickup truck while his hands and feet were chained.
This torturous and degrading punishment was carried out by the State Security Forces on Sunday in a village with a population of fewer than 700 inhabitants.
The prosecutor general of Lamrood County in the southern province of Fars, where the village is located, pledged to continue carrying out more such sentences.
Reza Rahimian, quoted by a local website, said: “Such sentences will be carried out in the area to reach a sustainable security.”
According to a report, since April there have been six cases of police lashing prisoners in public in the county.
The young man had been arrested on drug related charges and sentenced to 4 years in prison, two years in exile and 45 lashes.
