Iran: Political prisoner Ali Moezi denied medical treatment

ali_moeziNCRI – A critically-ill political prisoner has been refused treatment for at Evin prison in the Iranian capital Tehran.

Ali Moezi, 63, who has cyst cancer and kidney problems, has been refused urgent medical treatment across the regime.

Mr Moezi was transferred to prison from hospital on Thursday without receiving treatment. While in hospital his hands and legs were chained to hospital bed as a means to torture him.

The former political prisoner in 1980s was arrested in November 2008 for visiting his two children in Camp Ashraf and was sentenced to two years in prison.

Then in June 2011, a few days after having surgery, he was once again arrested for participating in the funeral of Mohsen Dogmechi, a PMOI (MEK) supporter who had been tortured to death in prison after being deprived of medical treatment.
