German federal prosecutors say they’ve charged a German-Iranian man with helping supply the Iranian regime with components for use in its missile program.
Ali Reza B., 63, whose last name wasn’t given in accordance with German privacy laws, provided vacuum pumps, valves and other industrial products with dual civilian and military purposes from 2011 to 2013.
He provided an unidentified Iranian organization with equipment worth 436,000 euros ($584,000) in 10 deliveries from 2011 to 2013.
Prosecutors office in Karlsruhe allege the suspect, in custody since February, delivered the items via a company in an unidentified “neighboring Arab country” of Iran to avoid embargo restrictions.
The suspect was convicted in 2009 by a court in Bonn for attempted dealings with the same Iranian organization, they said.
Hassan Rouhanim the president of the clerical regime in iran told the visiting head of the U.N. nuclear watchdog on Sunday that Tehran will not discuss its long-range missile program as part of talks aimed at resolving a decade-long nuclear dispute, official media reported.
“Iran’s missile power is not negotiable in any level under any pretext,” Rouhani told Yukiya Amano, director-general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the official IRNA news agency reported.
