NCRI – Weeks of maneuvering by the Iranian regime’s embassies in Brussels and Paris to hold a gathering at the European Union headquarters in support of the regime’s nuclear program and in opposition to a firm policy was boycotted by Iranians residing in Europe and turned into a disgraceful defeat.  The gathering, attended by less than 20 Iranians, reveals the Iranian people’s overwhelming opposition to the mullahs’ nuclear projects.

It is clear that the mullahs’ nuclear weapons program lacks the support of the Iranian people. In November, at the invitation of the Iranian Resistance, more than 35 thousand Iranians and dozens of European Parliamentarians expressed their opposition to the regime’s nuclear program and reiterated the necessity of a firm policy against the medieval dictatorship ruling Iran, which includes comprehensive military, oil, technologic and diplomatic sanctions.

For weeks, the fascist theocracy ruling in Iran used all possible financial, political and diplomatic resources, including paying for the travel and hotel expenses of those attending, in an effort to project that the people of Iran supported its nuclear program.

However, only a handful of the regime’s operatives attended the stage-managed show and most of the attendees, whose number was less than 100, were non-Iranian primarily from Arabic countries and some of the slogans were even in Arabic.

At a similar gathering on April 29 in Paris – Trocadero Square – which was organized by the regime’s embassy in France – no one but the regime’s personnel in Paris, UNESCO and well-known agents and their families participated.

Among the people who helped organize the fiasco were Ali Rastbin, an operative of the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) in Paris, Seyed-Ali Moujani Qomi, First Secretary of the regime’s embassy in Paris and also an intelligence agent, Heydari, the guard at the mullahs’ embassy in France, Saraj-al-Dein Mir-Damadi, an MOIS agent at the embassy in France, Rahimi, the representative of the regime’s Science and Technologies Ministry in France, Zahedi, head of Cultural Affairs at the regime’s embassy, Pirooz Mojtahed-Zadeh, an MOIS agent working as a Foreign Ministry attaché in Britain, and Esmail Najafi-Aghdam, the former head of the regime’s Islamic Association in France.
