Iran: Four men lashed in public in Shiraz

Four men have been lashed in public in the Iranian city of Shiraz, the Iranian regime police has said.

Two of the men were sentenced to 74 lashes and three years in prison for stealing from houses and shops.

Two others received 80 lashes for eating in public during the holy month of Ramadan, Ahmad Ali Godarzi, police chief in in the southern province of Fars.

According to the report by state-run IRNA news agency Godarzi added: “The sentence was carried out in public on Friday in Shiraz. The other two were sentenced to 80 lashes for breaking fast during Ramadan.”

According to the Iranian regime’s Penal Code, the punishment for eating during Ramadan is from ten days to two months in prison or 74 lashes.
