Head of the immigration police verified the “smuggling of Iranian girls to Arabic countries” and said on Monday, December 2 that the main destination of Iranian girls being smuggled is to UAE.
So far no official or unofficial figure has been published on the number of human smuggling to outside Iran and the security and political authorities of the government have been keeping quiet in this regard.
Prior to this, in June 2004, state-run Sharq newspaper published in Tehran had given a report on the widespread smuggling of Iranian girls to Arabic countries in the Middle East.
This report had revealed that every month, 3 to 5 dead bodies of Iranian girls were brought back to the country and at least one ceremony to sell 54 Iranian girls was held in the city of Fujairah, UAE.
