Iranians dissidents weakened, continue 7th week of hunger strike in Geneva

Tribune de Geneve*, October 14, 2013 – The hunger strike of a dozen people on the Place des Nations , which began on September 1 after the summary execution of 52 residents of Camp Ashraf , is in its seventh week (44 days). The strikers who are relatives and friends of the residents demand the immediate release of seven hostages (6 f omen and a man ) abducted during the attack on September 1 by Iraqi forces .

“These sevens opponents of the regime of the ayatollahs are under the control of Iraqi Prime Minister Al -Maliki himself, who acted at the behest of the Iranian regime ,” say representatives of the Iranian Resistance who have documents proving their claims. UNHCR and the European Union to take seriously the risk of extradition to Iran.

The hunger strikers are in an alarming physical condition and suffer from dizziness, headaches , digestive problems , bone pain, blurred vision and sleep. These last several days have been consulted and some were hospitalized and are under medical supervision.

The hunger strike of Iranians also takes place in London, Ottawa , Berlin , Melbourne and at Camp Liberty . They call on the UN and the United States to honor their commitment to protect the residents of Ashraf . They demand to act urgently to free the hostages are all protected under the 4th Geneva Convention and asylum seekers under UNHCR . They also call for an independent and transparent investigation of the UN on the massacre of September 1.
