Iran: Directors of a state foundation involved in huge embezzlement

NCRI – An Iranian regime official has revealed that many directors of a large state owned foundation have been involved in embezzlement.

Shaheed Foundation, established 34 years ago under the pretext of taking care of families of those killed in Iran-Iraq war, always been a place for embezzlement by the mullahs. Its president is considered representative of Khamenei in this foundation.

In an interview, Gholamali Jafarzadeh Imenabadi, member of an investigative committee from Shaheed Foundation reported on August 26 of embezzlement by many of this foundation’s directors.

Imenabadi said: “In our investigations we arrived at documents on the embezzlement and corruption of many directors that work in Shaheed Foundation.”

On May 31 of this year, parliamentarians approved a legislation to investigate the Shaheed Foundation following scandals in this foundation that surfaced during factional feuding within the regime about an embezzlement worth 6 million dollars.

Concurrently, the state-run Jomhouri daily reported on the same day: “We have reports that on the final day of the previous government, 6.5 million dollars has been withdrawn from President’s account.”
