Ban on short sleeves in Iranian universities

Ban on short sleeves in Iranian universitiesNCRI – Short sleeves and T-shirts are banned in some universities in Iran. According to state-run daily Etemad, the Open University guard has issued a statement which warns male students not to wear T-shirts or shirts with short sleeves on university premises. The university guard has cautioned the students that they will be barred from entering the university premises and offenders will be taken to the disciplinary committee for punishment.

The religious dictatorship launched a campaign two weeks ago to enforce the regime’s strict code of dressing making women to cover themselves from head to toe as summer approaching. The move is spreading as public discontent growing. Despite severe punishments, people, specially the young, are defying recent suppressive measures.
