Iran: Christians arrested, sentenced to prison

NCRI – Christians in different cities in Iran have been subjected to arbitrary arrests and prison sentences.

On Friday, August 9 security forces beat worshippers when they raided and searched a house church in West Tehran and arrested several Christians. Those arrested are Parham, Farazmand, Sara Sardsirian, Sediqeh Kiyani and Mona Fazli.

There is no information on the whereabouts of the arrestees.

Another Christian, Ibrahim Firouzi 28, has been sentenced to one year prison and 2 years banishment to a border city on July 13, by the Revolutionary Court in the city of Robat Karim.

He is accused of propaganda against the regime, forming and leading a ‘deviated’ Christian association, connection with opponents abroad and foreign networks.
