Khomeini’s daughter write to Khameneni on Rafsanjani’s disqualification

NCRI – The daughter of Ruhallah Khomeini has written to Ali Khamenei demanding that Ali Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani be re-instated as a candidate in the June presidential election.

Zahra Mostafavi wrote on May 21: “Unfortunately I see that the Guardian Council has disqualified him from the presidential elections. I advise you as a sister that this measure will do nothing create distance between two colleagues.

“I don’t claim that Rafsanjani today is the same person as of yesterday because people change in time. However, your gradual separation from one another could cause major damage to the revolution and government. As Imam Rohullah Khomeini always mentioned: They are good, if they are together.

“I request you to intervene in this regard and don’t let all you have build together to be lost.”

She reminded Khamenei of the words of her father, who said: “The Supreme Leader is there to prevent anyone doing their own work and is there to avoid dictatorship.”

Mostafavi went on: “I urge you to once again to implement the philosophical existence of the Supreme Leader. I am sure these are the feelings of many worrying about the government in Iran. They are whole-heartedly waiting to here of the sound of unity and solidarity.”
