Al-Maliki blamed by Iraqi MP for allowing Iran’s ‘vicious’ domination of their country

NCRI – Iraq must get rid of Nouri al-Maliki’s government to escape the ‘vicious’ domination of the Iranian regime over the country, a leading Iraq MP has declared.

Dr Ahmad al-Alwani, President of the Economic Commission in Iraq’s parliament, told Alsumaria TV: “The Iranian regime is Iraq’s most dangerous enemy. Everyone knows about the regime’s vicious role from 2003 until now. The Iranian regime is a stubborn enemy of Iraq and it targets everything good and popular about this country.

“The last gesture of the Iranian regime was the visit of its intelligence minister, Heydar Moslehi, who idiotically said that they want to give Iraq their experience of fighting terrorism in Iran.

“However, the truth is that all terrorist acts occurring in this country, especially after the withdrawal of the American forces, are practised by the Iranian regime. They specifically chose the regions for bombs to have a sectarian effect.”

Dr Alwani said of the situation in Syria: “It is close to the end of Bashar Assad. Hizbollah is getting weak and the Iranian regime does not have its feet anywhere in the region except Iraq. Therefore, it does everything it can to control Iraq. And for this reason the security situation in Baghdad specifically, is getting more critical.

“The Iraqi government is dominated by the Iranian regime and there is no escape for Iraq unless it can get rid of this government which is linked to the Iranian regime.”
