Syrian opposition embassy opening in Qatar infuriates Iranian regime

NCRI – The Syrian opposition opened their first embassy in Doha, Qatar on Wednesday. The move caused the main ally of the Syrian dictator, the Iranian regime to accuse Qatar of “intensifying the bloodshed.”

The Iranian regime’s deputy foreign minister in charge of Arab and African affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian was quoted saying, “The people of Syria will not allow others to decide their country’s fate.”

Abdollahian remarks comes at the time that Iranian regime and Hezbollah have effectively taken over Syria, guiding the nation’s military operations and functions of government.

The embassy of the Syrian opposition opened a day after the Arab League welcomed the Coalition to take the seat of Syria at the annual summit in Doha.

The Syrian opposition has already named envoys in several countries, including Britain, France, Libya, Turkey and the United States, but has yet to open diplomatic missions in those countries.
