UNAMI observer provokes Camp Liberty residents

NCRI- In a letter addressed to SG Ban Ki-Moon, on March 14th, representative of Ashraf and Liberty residents outside Iraq, Mr Mohaddessin, criticized the conduct of the UN observer in trying to provoke the residents over the death of their beloved friend only a day after his loss.

The UN observer, Masoud Dorani had previously tried to encourage residents in leaving the camp, betraying their movement and joining the Ministry of Intelligence of the Mullahs at a hotel in Baghdad, which raised a lot of concerns amongst various personalities and advocates for Ashraf.

The text of the letter from Mr Mohaddessin to SG Ban Ki-moon follows:

March 14, 2013
H.E. Ban Ki-moon
Secretary-General of the United Nations
The United Nations
New York, NY 10017

Dear Secretary General,

Today, March 14, a person named Massoud Dorani who works for Martin Kobler and whose previous efforts for pressing Liberty residents to move to a Baghdad hotel controlled by the mullahs’ Ministry of Intelligence is completely known, went to Liberty in the first visit after the February 9 attack on the camp.  Faced with the residents’ protests with regards to the loss of Mr. Hamid Rabi (the eighth person who died as the result of the rocket attack) and residents’ questions as to why no efforts were made to transfer Mr. Rabi to Germany, Dorani flashed a provocative smile and cynically stated that “it is no problem, he will go to heaven,” in a deliberate insult and provocation.

Is such conduct and such a person worthy of a UN observer, only a day after the death of Hamid Rabi, or is it that Kobler’s personal staff member is in the service of the mullahs’ Gestapo?

The residents of Liberty immediately informed their representatives in Iraq and outside Iraq that in order to thwart any intentional provocation, they will refrain from talking to this person from now on.

This individual’s extremely provocative and insulting behavior, is a futile attempt to whitewash the role of Kobler and his wife, the German Ambassador to Iraq, who with their one-month delay in sending Mr. Rabi to Germany are responsible in the loss of his life. The incident is reminiscent of Iranian regime executioners who at the time of execution would tell their victims that if they are innocent, then not to worry, and they will go to heaven in the other world.

On January 23, Massoud Dorani had delivered a message from a person affiliated with the mullahs’ intelligence ministry to one of the residents and was confronted with the residents indignation and protests. In this regard on January 27, the Vice-President of the European Untion wrote to you that:

“I was informed that on January 23, Mr Massoud Dorani, contacted a resident by the name of Ali Zareh and gave him a ‘confidential message.’ Mr. Zareh realized that the message is from a former resident who has left the camp and is now working for the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and Security. I regret to say that the head-monitor of UNAMI has become a messenger for the mullahs’ intelligence agents…

“Therefore I urge you to end this illegal process immediately and prevent these unacceptable actions from taking place under the name of the United Nations. These actions put the lives of 3200 Iranian refugees in Iraq and their families in danger,”  (the letter is enclosed).

Mr. Secretary General, I hope necessary instructions will be given to prevent such dangerous actions that take place at the direction of Kobler and can have unpleasant consequences.

Best Regards
Mohammad Mohaddessin
Representative of Ashraf and Liberty residents outside Iraq
