NCRI – At least 100 workers from the Iranian regime’s Roads and Urban Development office in Yasuj staged a demonstration on Tuesday over non-payment of their salaries for seven months.
The protestors massed outside the office of the governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, in the south west of the country, to make their demands for pay.
Workers said at the scene: “We will continue our protest until we receive a convincing reponse from the authorities.”
The state-run INLA news agency said 100 of the 230-strong workforce were involved in the protest, adding: “Many workers have gathered outside the office of the governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province.
“The workers have not received any salary for seven months. They are pressing for receiving a response from the governor on this issue.”
