Deputy Commander of the IRGC: the United States has spent $3 trillion dollars in Iraq but the fall of Saddam Hussein and departure of Mojahedin from Iraq was a political benefit for Islamic Republic of Iran.

The IRGC Fars news agency, Dec. 16, 2012:

General Salami, the deputy commander of Revolutionary Guards stated that American are spending and Islamic Republic of Iran benefits from it and said: for example, the US spent more than $3 trillion in Iraq but the fall of Saddam Hussein and departure of Mojahedin from Iraq was a political benefit for us.

Salami emphasized that today the Western system has collapsed and said: if we study all super powers like Spain, the Netherland, Britain, Soviet Union and the US, we will realize that for more than 50 years their cycles have not been in peak.

He noted that the super powers have two cycles of expansion and contraction. He pointed out the reasons for demise of powers and said: collapse of moral values, collapse of political civilization and excessive power in which the costs of being a superpower outweighs its gains are the grounds for collapse of a superpower.

Salami said that September 11 was the driving force for the US change of strategy and added: we believe that America has passed its peak point and is moving toward collapse and its signs are emerging.

The deputy commander of IRGC pointed out that the US used to compensate for economic recession with war and said: today unlike before, war results in recession.

According to Salami today there are 350 thousand American armed forces scattered around the world and every 15 minutes of the presence of American force in Iraq costs $2.8 M for the US.

This military commander pointed out the quick benefit yield strategy of the US and said: America has spent for 10 years but has not achieved anything. For this reason with $16 trillion in debt, it is the most debtor country in the world.

He stated that other signs of demise and decline of the US is their spending but others benefiting from it and mentioned: In 1991 the Arab countries with America’s support drove Saddam out of Kuwait and America gained control of this country’s resources. But today Americans spend and the Islamic republic of Iran takes its benefit.
