Italian Parliament Conference – Prospects of Change in Iran in 2013

Developments following delisting of PMOI in US
Defending the rights of Ashraf and Liberty residents
A conference was held in the Italian Parliament by the Italian Committee of Parliamentarians and Citizens for a Free Iran, discussing prospects of change in Iran, the PMOI delisting in the US and the rights of Ashraf and Liberty residents. 

Italian Senators and MPs, joined human rights activists and mayors in this conference, delivering speeches emphasizing the Iranian Resistance’s victory in the US delisting, the Iranian regime’s defeat in its plots and the appeasement policy in this regard, the mullahs’ crises and horrific crackdown by this regime against the Iranian people, and the necessity to support Ashraf and Liberty residents’ rights against the mullahs’ plots carried out through its proxies in Iraq.
 
Antonio Stango, Chairman of Helsinki Watch said the PMOI delisting in the US was an important and significant victory in the Iranian Resistance’s campaign.
 
Mrs. Elizabetta Zamparutti, Italian MP from the Radical Party and co-chair of the Italian Committee of Parliamentarians and Citizens for a Free Iran said what must still be resolved is the status of Ashraf residents that have now been transferred to Liberty, because the UN in Iraq is acting in line with the Iraqi government instead of supporting these political refugees.
 
Italian MP Carlo Ciccioli from the Radical Party and co-chair of the Italian Committee of Parliamentarians and Citizens for a Free Iran said 2013 is a very important year for the Iranian Resistance and we are alongside the Iranian Resistance, praising the leadership of President-elect Mrs. Maryam Rajavi.
 
Italian Senator Lucio Malan delivered a speech saying the PMOI delisting campaign was achieved due to the leadership Iranian Resistance President-elect Maryam Rajavi. Therefore, we see it as our duty to support this resistance and Ashraf and Liberty residents, and we must not allow these residents’ international rights be violated.
 
Mayor Domenico Corte said we are over 1,000 mayors from across Italy and with the people we feel it is our duty to stand alongside the Iranian people and their organized resistance. We must declare our solidarity with Ashraf and Liberty residents, as they are our modern day freedom fighters and we must support them.
 
Renowned human rights Aldo Forbice said Iran has now become the world’s main issue and the Iranian Resistance is present in the scene, and it is necessary to introduce this resistance to the world more than ever before.
