An official ceremony with the participation of his family, French government officials and dignitaries, was held in Paris on Saturday, October 27th, 2012, to commemorate the late Claude Chesson, former French Foreign Minister in the Francois Mitterrand cabinet.

Not only in his time as French Foreign Minister, yet also as he represented France in the European Commission, Union and Parliament, Mr. Chesson stood alongside the Iranian people and their Resistance and on several occasions met with Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, announcing his solidarity with the aspirations of the Iranian people in bringing about freedom and democracy to their country.
