NCRI – A large group of local residents in Val d’Oise Province, north of Paris, expressed their best wishes to Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, on the occasion of the Iranian New Year, at her residence in Auvers-sur-Oise, on Sunday.
The French friends of the Iranian Resistance also wished a successful year for the President-elect and all members of the Resistance in their struggle to establish freedom and democracy in Iran. They gave reassurances of their ongoing support for Iranian people until they gain their freedom.
In response to all kind wishes, Mrs. Rajavi thanked her French visitors for their support, specially at the time of hardship, the difficult days of June 2003. She said: "You stood by us in those days and proved that the French values are still alive. You are the awaken conscience of the French people against injustice towards the Iranian Resistance."
She described her visitors as dear friends and neighbors and indeed, members of the large family of the Iranian Resistance. She also appreciated their backing for the Resistance while themselves being the subject of intolerable pressures by the Iranian religious fascism which failed to break their resolve.
