Member of Kurdish coalition: Ashraf subject will receive more attention

NCRI – In a special press release, Mohsen al-Sadoun, a member of Kurdish coalition, said: Withdrawal of US troops is people’s will, but because of the complexity and interference of different issues, it will have negative effects and consequences on the Iraqi political scene; Iraq News agency reported on August 14th.

Al-Sadoun considered the bombing of Kurdistan by Iran as “an assault that is absolutely unacceptable.”  He said that the assault resulted in loss of lives and properties of ordinary people in the border region. He emphasized that the Iranian side does not listen to the calls demanding an stop to these bombardments.

Al-Sadoun said: Ashraf residents are in Iraq, and therefore have certain rights and require obligations (on our side) because they consider Iraq a safe place for themselves. He predicted that the issue of Ashraf will receive more attention in the future, because it is complicated in terms of legality, humanity, and politics.

He believes that the solution to the Ashraf issue is by sitting at the negotiating tables with international supervision to end the increasing crisis in Ashraf.
