Fall of Assad’s regime will affect Iranian regime and Hizbullah-report

State-run web site, Asr Iran belong to Intelligence Ministry reported on August 7, acknowledged definite fall of Bashar Assad government, and warned the Iranian regime that supporting the falling Syrian dictator will have harmful consequences for the regime.

Asr Iran wrote: with continuing crisis in Syria, and  of Bashar Assad’s repeated failure in redirecting the protests from change of government to reforms,  Syria appears to have entered into the fall.

This state medium with the title “what to do, if Bashar Assad’s regime fell” added: In this situation, Islamic Republic’s continuing full and comprehensive support of Assad’s regime would place confrontation with the next Syrian government in front of Iran and Hizbullah of Lebanon as the sole option.

Naturally,  because Iran and Hizbullah support Assad’s regime, the current protesting people and the future government of Syria would have a hostile stance toward Iran, Asr Iran added.

This Intelligence Ministry medium pointed out the consequences of fall of Syrian dictatorship and wrote: given the strategic position of Syria and Lebanon, as the Assad’s regime fell, hostile stance of the next Syrian government toward Hizbullah will weaken the Hizbullah allies such as those in Lebanon Army, President (Michel Sulyman), and figures like Michel Aoun and Nabih Berri.

The state medium added: This would prepare the ground for the final push to eliminate Hizbullah, and the scenario that began with assassination of Rafik Hariri, which has failed for the past 5 years, may succeed.
