“We are threatened by enemies of the regime!”: Top cleric

NCRI – Mahdavi Kani, head of the regime’s Council of Experts and leader of Tehran’s Clerics Society, expressed his worries regarding the regime’s situation and said: “We are now at a time when our foreign enemies and some enemies from within, are threatening our Islamic Revolution,” Fars News Agency affiliated with the Revolutionary Guards reported on Saturday.

Expressing concerns about intensification of incurable crisis in the ruling band of the regime, mullah Mahdavi Kani said: “In the past 30 years, our enemies have attacked us when our differences widen. When the differences among the officials, the clerics, the government, and parliament increases, the enemies feel like targeting us for all sorts of cultural, economical, political, and other attacks,” state-run Fars News Agency reported.

Regarding yet another splinter group of the clerics who held their separate meetings, the head of regime’s Experts Council said: “I am surprised that in their statement, they said that two very senior clerics that we all respect are supporting them and have held a meeting in opposite direction to that of our meeting;
therefore, I tell those endeared people not to take such actions. That is not good. These actions are against the interests of revolution; our enemies will win the field because of our infighting.”

In other parts of his talk, Kani discussed Iranian people’s hatred and loathing towards the ruling criminal mullahs and said: “Recently we had to witness that, for the cause of Islam, a number of dear clerics were beaten by people!”
