NCRI – Iraqi President Jalal Talabani has delivered the Iranian regime’s message to the American ambassador in Baghdad regarding Syria and Camp Ashraf, the Iraqi daily Azzaman reported on Thursday.
The paper said Talabani delivered the message from the Iranian regime’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei after a recent visit to Tehran.
Khamenei has said in the message that if the US continues to pressure Syria, then the Iranian regime will also raise the stakes for American forces in Iraq.
According to Azzaman, Khamenei’s message to the US ambassador also said that the closure of Camp Ashraf, where members of the main Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) reside, would be the precursor to solving some of the issues in Iraq.
Talabani met Khamenei during a trip to Tehran on the sidelines of a conference on terrorism, Azzaman added.
