NCRI – French President Nicolas Sarkozy said on Friday new sanctions would be taken against the Iranian regime, according to Reuters.
He accused the regime of taking advantage of the Arab Spring to press ahead with its nuclear program, Reuters said.
Speaking at the closing news conference of a Group of Eight summit in northern France, Sarkozy said the leaders had determined that the Iranian regime had used the uprisings in the Arab world to continue to develop nuclear weapons, Reuters added.
“We shall take new measures to reinforce again sanctions against it,” Sarkozy said
