Khamenei-Ahmadinejad rift revives efforts to summon Ahmadinejad to mullahs’ parliament

NCRI – With intensifying crisis and division at the very top of the clerical dictatorship, state-run Aser-e Iran and  Jahan news reported  that the issue of questioning Ahmadinejad by the regime’s parliament has resurfaced.

Asr-e Iran reported on May 5 that: “In a meeting held Thursday morning, a group of members of regime’s parliament concluded that they should follow up with the issue of questioning Ahmadinejad due to recent events in the government. On this basis, the petition that was previously prepared by Ali Motahari, was updated to include developments of the last few days, and thus far, 90 signatures have been collected for it.”

Similarly, Jahan News wrote on May 5 that: “In addition to government’s illegal activities such as not paying the approved budget of Tehran’s metro, the text of these questions includes Ahmadinejad’s failure to present new ministers for the newly merged ministries and the manner in which the government dealt with Moslehi, the unseated Intelligence Minister.”
