Two giant oil contracts go to revolutionary Guards without following competition rules

NCRI – According to state-run  Asr-e Iran, in line with Islamic Republican Guards Corps’ practice of gaining control of Iran’s resources, wealth, and economic lifelines, a new contract is signed between the IRGC and the Ministry of Oil.

Asr-e Iran reported: According to this contract, due to the financial sufficiency of IRGC’s Khatam military base, development of the Halgan and Sefid-Baghun natural gas fields have been granted to the IRGC without following the processes for auctioning of contracts to the lowest bidder.

Director of the Iranian regime’s Oil Company in central regions, Mehdi Fakur, said: Value of this contract is about $1 billion and has been granted in accordance to the Oil Ministry’s new regulations regarding exemption from regular processes in oil contracts.

He added: the contract for development of the Halgan and Sefid-Baghun gas fields have been granted to the IRGC’s Khatam Base in an EPCF fashion.
