Political prisoner condemns attack on Camp Ashraf

NCRI – A political prisoner, Arjang Davoudi, who is being held in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj, has sent out a message condemning the April 8 massacre by Nouri al-Maliki’s forces against Camp Ashraf residents in Iraq.

Below is the English translation of the original letter by political prisoner Arjang Davoudi.

Writing from behind the cold bars of the notorious Gohardasht Prison, I would like to send my condolences to all political activists, especially the extensive family of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), regarding the cruel massacre carried out in Camp Ashraf.

The PMOI represents a significant portion of the two-hundred-year-old of the Iranian people’s determined movement for freedom. Clearly, their struggle against the dictatorship of the Shah and the clerical rulers has been more resolute than that of many others.

Without the slightest doubt, the recent humanitarian catastrophe not only constitutes a terrifying crime against humanity but it is also a full-scale assault on the articles of the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights.

The unbridled joy expressed by the reactionary leaders of the degenerate clerical rule shows on the one hand how profoundly pathetic these murderers and freedom killers are, and on the other hand it also displays the degree of courage on the part of those who struggle for Iran’s freedom.
