Germany intensifies sanctions against Iranian regime

NCRI – Germany has intensified sanctions against the Iranian regime by starting to monitor the operations of 30 companies operating in the country.

The German daily WAZ reported that German security officials are monitoring the activities of 30 registered companies in the country. The companies are suspected of violating sanctions and German laws by providing technology and equipment to the Iranian regime for its nuclear and missiles programs.

Paul Wamers, President of ZKA (German Customs Criminological Office), said that about one third of the 110 violations of trade and weapon control laws last year were related to trade with the Iranian regime.

The report added that security officials in Germany have discovered in the course of their investigations that most of the German parts and technology required by the Iranian regime are sent to it through proxies in South Korea and Malaysia.
