NCRI – A new cyber police force has been created by the Iranian regime for censoring and preventing access, especially by young people, to the Internet.
According to the state-run Fars news agency, the head of the cyber police said the reason for the creation of the group was “to play a role in political and security matters.”
The news agency expressed concern about growing use of Internet in Iran and said, “If the cyber police were to start its operations a bit later, there would have been many more problems.”
