NCRI – The 3000 orphans are abandoned without any support and the organizations of the Iran regime, which themselves are the main contributors to the emergence of such situation, are evading the responsibilities.

The so-called “Welfare Organization” has refused to keep the orphans under the pretext of high expenses. An agent of the regime at Tehran Municipality’s Social Services Organization stated on June 5, 2017, that there are 3000 children with social harm while the Welfare Organization is not able to take care of them. He also added that most of these orphans are unprotected or ill-cared and most of them are from the 12, 2, and 4 areas of Tehran where they place the most marginalized people. According to the agents of the regime, the monthly expense of per child is about 300 to 500 thousand Tomans ($92-$153).

The question is that how the Welfare Organization avoid paying 500 thousand Tomans ($153) to maintain the 3000 orphans whereas the number of plunders reaches millions of dollars.
