NCRI – The Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS) and state-run radio and television channels on May 8, 10 and 13 published numerous reports claiming that a number of youth and students supporting the Iranian opposition movement, the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), have been arrested in the course of the so-called presidential election in Iran.

Using fictitious images and making false claims such as discovery of explosive materials and devices, the Iranian regime ridiculously intends to fabricate cases, spread fear in the society and set the stage for more executions.

Furthermore, the repressive measures are aimed at countering the growing desire in society to boycott the sham presidential election and the public outrage over the massacre of political prisoners and pervasive suppression.
