“What the world witnessed in Iran today was not a true election. It was a sham and a show, and no amount of propaganda or extended polling times from the regime will change that reality. The election was indeed boycotted by the majority of the Iranian people. A voting exercise that offers only candidates loyal to the supreme leader is no election at all.
Supreme leader Khamenei has called in an estimated 1 million security personnel as well as paramilitary Basij forces and agents for the ministry of intelligence in fear of another uprising and to prevent any protests or uprisings.
Building this massive show of security from one polling station to the next, while herding journalists on guided tours to give the semblance of high voter turnout, will not fool any sophisticated observer.
Efforts to prevent massive social uprising during sham election are in vain
Widespread arrests of sympathizers and institutions connected to PMOI (MEK) and family members of Ashraf and Liberty residents
NCRI - In a vain effort to prevent the explosion of society during the election masquerade, the religious fascists ruling Iran have initiated a vast assault over recent days on the sympathizers of the People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK), family members of Ashraf and Liberty residents, released political prisoners, and institutions connected with the PMOI (MEK) and its supporters.
NCRI - On Wednesday, May 1, supporters of the Iranian Resistance joined Workers’ Day demonstrations in various countries in the world and supported the rights of Iranian laborers and toilers who live in dire conditions.
Khamenei said of Ahmadinejad: 'Stop fueling anxiety among the population'
NCRI - In a thinly-veiled reference to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iranian regime's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei warned in his speech on Saturday (April 27, 2013) that people 'should not stir up trouble' and 'should avoid fuelling anxiety and fear among the people'. Khamenei added: “Some comments that have been made recently are truly inappropriate.
Iranians warn against next massacre at Camp Liberty
Call for immediate transfer of residents to Ashraf and assuming responsibility for Ashraf and Liberty by UNHCR
Support for regime change in Iran, requisite for peace and democracy in region and world
On Saturday April 13, almost 2,000 Iranian and French citizens warned against the next likely attack and the fourth massacre of PMOI members at camps Liberty and Ashraf in Iraq. They called on the United Nations, United States and France for immediate action to guarantee the lives of defenseless Iranian refugees.
NCRI - The United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution on Friday extending the mandate of Mr. Ahmad Shaheed, Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran for one year.
The resolution deplored the Iranian regime’s failure to implement Human Rights Council and UN General Assembly resolutions regarding the human rights situation in Iran and expressed serious concerns for not permitting access to the country by the Special Rapporteur.
The Iranian Resistance, welcomed the adoption of the Human Rights Council resolution and once again stressed that the adoption of such resolutions, although valuable, are not enough as
the gallows, torture, amputation and eye gouging are rampant in prisons and streets in various cities across Iran, while Iranian youths are being arrested and killed simply because of expressing their opinion on their blogs, and while thousands of students, women, laborers, reporters and intellectuals are in the worst conditions in the regime’s prisons and under suppression.
