Hassan Rouhani’s defence minister-designate has declared boosting missile program as Defence Ministry’s first priority in the next four years.
Amir Hatami, who has been a member of repressive Bassij paramilitary forces made the remarks at the regime’s parliament on Thursday.
Rouhani's introduced his new cabinet to parliament on Tuesday. On one hand, his remarks reveal his fear of the consequences of new sanctions for human rights abuses, export of terrorism, and ballistic missile development. On the other hand, they also illustrate that the mullahs’ regime has never abandoned the nuclear weapons program.
On Saturday, August 12, 2017, a senior delegation from the United States Senate meet with Maryam Rajavi, in the Albanian capital, Tirana, and discussed the situation of the members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in Albania, the latest developments in Iran and the Middle East as well as solutions to end the current crisis in that region.

The cabinet introduced by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to the regime’s parliament on Tuesday is a slate of Revolutionary Guards members, hostage takers, executioners and torturers who have played the most active role in wars, crackdown, massacring, exporting terrorism and fundamentalism, and killing the region’s nations.

The Iranian Resistance welcomes the signing into law by the President of the United States of legislation imposing new sanctions against the clerical regime and the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC). It calls for this law to be implemented immediately, meticulously and without exception and urges the European Union to join these sanctions. The expulsion of the IRGC and its affiliated militias from the Middle East, in particular from Syria and Iraq, is indispensable to the enactment of this law and a prerequisite to ending the conflict and crisis that have engulfed the entire region.

Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), welcomed adoption of a bill by both chambers of the US Congress which imposes new sanctions on the Iranian regime for violating human rights and pursuing ballistic missiles. The U.S. Congress also extends sanctions on the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) for its involvement in terrorism.
