NCRI - Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the Iranian Resistance, lauded today’s nationwide uprising with people chanting “Down with Khamenei, down with dictator.” She said the regime failed to contain the uprising despite deploying forces from Mohammad Rassoul-Allah and Seyed As-Shohada IRGC units, Bassij battalions, Special Units of the State Security Force and plainclothes agents. It was defeated again by the Iranian people’s willpower.

She added that people of Iran are getting more prepared everyday for the final uprising and victory. Young girls, women and elderly mothers with their astonishing presence on the scene guarantee the progress of the uprising. In contrast, the faltering regime and its suppressive forces are losing steam and strength everyday.

Addressing governments around the world, particularly in the West, the President-elect of the Iranian Resistance urged them to halt their political and economic ties with the murderers of the Iranian people. She emphasized that they must end their failed policy of appeasing the religious fascism ruling Iran or at least remain neutral and remove the obstacles they have placed in the way of the popular resistance at the behest of the Iranian regime.
